8.31.2001 - 9.3.2001...
On August 31, 2001 we entered GFI Studios in Ontario, NY for a four day session to record the basic tracks for what would be come our debut album, Yellow #5. Saby Reyes-Kulkarni had been working with us through the summer doing pre-production work on about 18 songs. We narrowed them down to 14 and went into the studio with Saby doing the engineering as well as providing Rock N Roll Motivation. In the course of those 4 days, we blew through all 14 tracks and left on September 3rd with the feeling that we had just done something incredible. The tracking session went as smoothly as one could expect for a band with very little studio experience, everyone involved agreed that it had been a success. *future link to recording logs and pictures from this session* |
